Bio:
Elle wandered off a Boston whale watching boat to an Adam Sandler set sometime around 4am one day and never left. She’s pretty sure they kept her around because she could carry trays full of open top water cups without spilling water on cameras. She worked her way through crew into camera departments, ghostwriting, and finally directing. Elle creates overlooked, underestimated characters to reveal deep conflict mashed up against determined bravado, and often features women fighting for their own voice. Her feature documentary film (2023, Apple TV, Amazon Prime) I’m Not Crazy I’m Sick follows three families over three years as they get to the bottom of misdiagnosed chronic illnesses. Her short films fighting modern day human slavery for non-profit A21 have been recognized for Best Director, Best Screenplay, or Best Film in over 31 international festivals to date. Her work for Nike earned a Silver Kinsale Shark, and her branded content has been awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze Cannes Lions.
As a formerly home-schooled kid prone to wandering and people watching, you can usually find Elle chatting up a stranger, typing loudly in a coffee shop, eating pizza, surfing, or visiting her family in Boston.
